PSUSD students recognized for perseverance at Every Student Succeeding Awards
Some local students were recognized for their academic success.
Students from each of Palm Springs Unified School District's elementary, middle, and high schools were nominated by their school principals.
The Palm Springs Leadership Association, which is made up of PSUSD administrators and managers, honored the students during the Every Student Succeeding Awards on Monday.
"Why these students receive these awards is truly inspiring. their stories of perseverance, dedication, it just really brings a tear to your eye," Elizabeth Diudjomahor, a Desert Hot Springs High School student who received the overall outstanding winner award.
One high school student was named the overall district designee and they will move forward for a possible cash scholarship.
