One person dead after car hits pedestrian overnight in Indio
The vehicle versus pedestrian accident was reported just before 12:30 this morning at Avenue 48 and Indio Boulevard in the City of Indio.
The pedestrian died at the scene and the Indio Police department says that the surrounding area was closed off for about 7 hours.
The roads are now open with the scene cleared at 7 this morning.
The driver involved in the incident is fully cooperative with authorities and the investigation into what happened is ongoing at this time.
