Celebrating community: HRC Garden Party honors Michael Childers in Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, Claif. (KESQ) - Community, friendship and the push for LGBTQ+ equality brought supporters together Saturday for the 25th HRC Palm Springs Garden Party.

Held at the Dinah Shore Estate during Pride weekend, the event honored photographer and philanthropist Michael Childers with the Community Impact Award.

For Childers and longtime friend Lucie Arnaz, the celebration also offered a chance to reflect on the connections that make Palm Springs feel like home.

Arnaz spoke with News Channel 3 about the role Childers played in helping her and her husband find their place in the community.
