Thousands of valley residents impacted by monsoonal storms ahead of Hurricane Hilary’s arrival

News Channel 3 is continuing to follow a power outage in the East Valley.

We first reported that almost 50 power poles knocked down in Thermal after a monsoonal storm on Friday night.

About 2,000 people are said to be sheltering in place without power.

Our First Alert Weather Alert Team emphasizing that last night's storm was not Hurricane Hilary entering the valley.

The now category 3 hurricane has yet to arrive in the valley, and we're already seeing thousands of people impacted by weather conditions.
