Two people injured after shooting in Indio neighborhood

The Indio Police Department is investigating a double shooting Friday night near Golf Center Parkway and Intestate 10.

According to Ben Guitron, IPD's public information officer, the shooting was reported in the area of Avenue 44 and Apache Street at approximately 8:38 p.m.

Guitron confirmed that both victims have been taken to the hospital. One of the victims is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition as of Saturday morning.

No one has been arrested and a suspect description is not currently available.
