Minor traffic collision halts traffic on I-10 near Whitewater
A minor traffic collision on Interstate 10 eastbound heading into the valley caused major traffic delays Thursday morning.
The incident was reported at 7:44 a.m. A gray Chevy pickup truck hauling a trailer reportedly lost control and crashed into the center divider, according to CHP.
The incident forced the closure of the number one and number two lanes for the next hour and fifteen minutes. All lanes reopened by 9:08 a.m., but lingering delays remained.
The collision caused damage to two stretches guardrail about 40 feet i on the highway.
No injuries were reported.
