Fire crews battle house fire in Cathedral City

Firefighters put out a house fire in Cathedral City this afternoon.

The happened at around 4:40 p.m. on Sky Blue Water Trail near Baristo Way.

Flames could be seen in the backyard f the residence along with plumes of thick black smoke.

Officials have yet to say if there were any injuries or what caused the fire.
