News Channel 3 has learned that two people were killed and three others injured after a single-vehicle crash Sunday night on Highway 62.
Cal Fire said the crash was reported after 7:30 p.m. on the highway near the westbound I-10 interchange.
CHP confirmed the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into trees.
Investigators said the driver, a 28-year-old man, was killed - along with a 4-year-old boy.
CHP said a woman and two children were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The sig alert remained in effect Sunday night with no word on when the roadway would reopen.
