Palm Springs Power 2020 season still in question due to coronavirus

The 2020 summer season for the Palm Springs Power remains a hot topic around the valley. Not just because of the heat but because the Power baseball season is a staple every summer in Palm Springs.

Sports Director Blake Arthur spoke with General Manger Andrew Starke a couple times about the season but the answer remains the same. He and the Power just don't know at this point.

Starke says it's a waiting game with everything dependent on the health officials and governing bodies.

And given that things change daily with the coronavirus, it's hard to give an accurate estimation about something down the road.

However, Starke remains optimistic and wants the Power to be able to have a season this summer.

Right now, we just don't know as things are ever-changing during this pandemic.

The SCCBL runs from the end of May through the middle of July.
