CIF-SS changes football playoff format

The CIF council announced Thursday that teams have voted to have the playoff format changed.

The new format will put teams in a division after the regular season, prior to before the regular season even starts.

Basically, teams will be placed in divisions based on their performance of that specific season rather than in year's past. It should allow for more competitive balance and equity.
