Firebirds overcome deficit, defeat Reign 4-2 on road in Ontario

The Coachella Valley Firebirds defeated the Ontario Reign 4-2 at the Toyota Center in Ontario, California.

After an early 2-0 lead by the Reign, the Firebirds scored four unanswered goals by Forward Cameron Hughes, Forward Max McCormick, Forward Shane Wright, and Forward Kole Lind.

The first star of the game and Firebirds captain McCormick had a remarkable night with three points with one goal and two assists. Hughes was another key player to tonight's win as he scored his 12th goal of the season and extended his point streak to eight games.

Goalie Cale Morris, who earned his second win of the season, protected the net with 27 saves.

Coachella Valley improves their record to 22-12-3-1 and will resume their road trip and face the Henderson Silver Knights on Wednesday, January 24th. Puck is set to drop at 7:00 p.m. PT at The Dollar Loan Center.
