2024 BNP Paribas Open features world’s best, headlined by return of Novak Djokovic

They don't call it the unofficial 5th grand slam for nothing.

This year's edition of the BNP Paribas Open features a world-class field at a world-class venue.

Novak Djokovic headlines the 2024 tournament, returning to Indian Wells for the first time since 2019.

The 24-time grand slam champion and five-time winner at Indian Wells is seeking a record 6th title in the desert.

Also returning this year is Rafael Nadal after missing 2023 to injury.

Djokovic and Nadal are just two of the superstars on the men's side which is loaded with stars such as 2023 champion Carlos Alcaraz, 2024 Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner, 2022 tournament winner Taylor Fritz and many others.

On the women's side, World No. 1 and 2022 tournament champion Iga Swiatek should be the favorite.

Swiatek will have to hold off 2024 Aussie Open champion Aryna Sabalenka, 2023 BNPPO champion Elena Rybakina, a pair of Americans in Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, and plenty of others who could make a run in the desert.

The BNP Paribas Open is March 3-17 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
