Tropical moisture brings humidity and a small shower chance

Warm and muggy conditions continue through Monday, with Coachella Valley looking at temps 1-3 degrees above normal through Saturday.

Tropical moisture from Hurricanes Polo will bring increasing clouds, increasing humidity and a cooldown Sunday into Tuesday, with Monday's highs running ~10 degrees cooler than Saturday.

There’s also a small chance of light showers across the valley and surrounding mountains Sunday night into Monday, although rainfall amounts—if any—should remain very light. Right now our best timeframe for that is between 12-6pm Monday.

Forecast models are still pretty split regarding how much moisture reaches SoCal, so confidence in our rain chances is rather low. But if Hurricane Polo stalls or begins shifting that could change the entire scenario.

Drier air and high pressure return Tuesday and Wednesday, kicking off a minor warming trend late next week.
