Still below normal today and remaining dry

Yesterday was a cooler day. Palm Springs reached a high temperature of only 64°. The normal for Palm Springs today is 69° and we will be just a few degrees shy of that.

Northwest flow with an area of low pressure will steer a series of disturbances aloft. This will keep temperatures cool and conditions dry over the next several days.

A stronger disturbance does move in Thursday. This will bring the chance to see rain and more mountain snow.

At times, we will still watch for gusty winds over our mountains and parts of our desert. Today, winds will be lighter than yesterday but still seeing gusts reaching close to 40 mph for the local mountains and area passes. Expect that breeze to persist through most of the week as these series of disturbances continue.

Sky conditions today will remain clear. Partly cloudy skies return Wednesday.
