Above average temperatures all week long
Temperatures are staying in the triple digits for most of this upcoming week. That's about 15° above seasonal average. Today, Palm Springs came up just one degree short of the record high set back in 1926.
An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect for the Coachella Valley through Sunday evening, with temperatures up to 105° possible.
It's important to protect yourself against heat illness by drinking plenty of water, wearing loose-fitted and light-colored clothing and staying in the shade or air conditioning when possible. Make sure you do not leave any children or pets in a hot car unattended for any amount of time.
Tuesday looks to be the hottest day of the week, with a high temperature of 104° expected in Palm Springs. After that, triple digits stick around for a few more days, but we'll be back in the 90s by next weekend!
