Slowly warming, but still below average

It was a beautiful, but breezy day in the Coachella Valley. The high temperature in Palm Springs was 95°, so slightly warmer than Saturday but still below the the average of 99°. We'll have one more day of below average temperatures before the triple digits return.

Plenty of sunshine is in the forecast all week long and those winds, they're weakening. Tonight, some areas still feeling strong gusts of 40-50 mph, not quite as strong as what we've been feeling the past two days though.

The gusty winds and cooler temperatures are all a result of low pressure overhead.

Things will be changing overnight tonight, those onshore winds will begin to shift offshore, resulting in warmer and drier conditions. Dew points will be dropping near 15° by tomorrow.

Plenty of sunshine and a fresh breeze is in the forecast, with temperatures similar to today.
