Humidity will surge midweek

A Wind Advisory will be in place from this evening until 8 tomorrow morning in areas around the San Gorgonio Pass and also portions of Imperial and San Diego counties as winds will gust to near 45 m.p.h. in areas.

Expect breezy and relatively mild conditions today, but the remnants of Tropical Storm Eugene head for SoCal late tonight.

With the arrival of those remnants, humidity and dew point levels will rise, giving a slight chance of mountain and high desert thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. It will also feel fairly "sticky" outside as those humidity numbers increase.

Dew points will be in the 50s and 60s making your evaporative or "swamp" coolers less effective through midweek.

Highs will be running below average (109) through most of the week. By the weekend the atmosphere will dry out a bit and highs will climb back close to 110.
