Adding heat to the humidity

An Excessive Heat Warning will be in effect from 10 a.m. today through 8 p.m. tomorrow as temperatures climb above 110. A Heat Advisory is also in effect for the Inland Empire and San Diego County inland valleys.

This is coupled with monsoon moisture that continues to flow in from the Southeast.

A bigger surge of monsoon moisture is expected into the weekend, with the potential for significant rainfall around the region and here on the Valley floor. The monsoon is likely to be enhanced by a tropical system developing which would increase rainfall totals around all of Southern California. We are eying the potential for a First Alert Weather Alert for the weekend.
