Less humidity, more heat

Today we should see dew points and humidity readings start to dry up a bit heading into the weekend as monsoonal flow moves farther east.

By this evening, it should feel less muggy out there.

Temperatures remain fairly close to our seasonal averages through the weekend, but we are expecting a warm-up into next week.

Early next week, highs will reach the lower one-teens, and that has prompted an Excessive Heat Watch for the Coachella Valley and surrounding areas. This will likely become an Excessive Heat Warning by the time we reach Monday.

Also, lots of dust from the cleanup operations have left valley skies a little dirty, air quality is in the "MODERATE" range.

Highs reach 113 by Monday, but we drop back to near normal by midweek.
