Heat intensifies for week’s end

The Heat Advisory that has been in effect to our west has expanded, now including parts of L.A., Ventura and Orange counties as the heat increases.

The persistent ridge of high pressure will linger until Saturday, when a strong trough moves in.

Winds will pick up late Friday into Saturday, so expect breezy to gusty winds through Sunday.

Highs today will meet or exceed the 104 of yesterday.

Into the weekend, we see considerable cooling that will drop highs into the 80s for much of next week.
