Changes coming for midweek

Today we're still expecting fairly mild and dry conditions, with highs running slightly below average.

An approaching series of low pressure systems will impact SoCal from late Wednesday through Friday, delivering a small chance of showers and light rain to the Coachella Valley, especially late Thursday into Friday.

The series of storms will help draw up moisture from the South, so San Diego county is more likely to see significant precipitation, along with some snow in the high elevations of San Diego, Riverside and San Bernardino county mountains.

The chance for measurable rainfall for the Valley rises to 30% by late Thursday, and lingers into Friday before clearing out by the weekend.

Those storms will leave cooler than normal conditions in their wake, with highs hover in the mid-to-upper 60s through the weekend.
