Storm departs but showers linger

The weather pattern is settling down slowly as an area of low pressure departs, but there is still significant shower activity particularly in San Diego County.

The Flood Watch for the Coachella Valley expired overnight, but flood watches and warnings continue in areas to our West.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 8 a.m. Thursday morning for mountain communities above 6,000 feet.

Those showers to the our South may pass through the Valley later today, and a weaker disturbance offers another slight chance of showers Friday. Into the weekend we clear out, dry up and warm a bit.
