Gusty winds to usher in cooler weekend weather

Today will be mild and warm with highs approaching 90 degrees.

An approaching trough of low pressure will bring gusty winds starting tomorrow and lasting into Friday morning, with winds gusting to 35-45 m.p.h. for the Coachella Valley.

Wind advisories and high wind warnings are already up in areas from the high desert into Nevada. A Wind Advisory has now been issued for the Coachella Valley beginning at 11 AM Thursday and lasting through 5 AM Friday. A High Wind Warning has been issued for the San Gorgonio Pass as well.

Gusty winds will last through much of Friday with sharply cooler temps into the weekend.
