Drier End to the Week After a Wet New Year’s

For the Coachella Valley, mostly dry conditions are expected today, though isolated light showers could develop at times as cloud cover increases--that'll be mainly to the west of us however.

A weather system moving in this weekend may bring a brief period of light rain to coastal areas, but most areas will receive less than a quarter inch.

Southerly winds may become gusty, especially Saturday as the system passes through.

Periods of showers could linger at times into next week as the weather pattern stays active. But chances remain very small for us here locally in the valley.

Drier and warmer conditions are expected to return later next week.
