Cooler, Cloudier Pattern Sticks Around Before Warming Returns Next Week
Cooler temperatures will continue across the Coachella Valley through the weekend, with highs generally close or just below seasonal in the lower 70s.
Some very isolated Scattered showers will move through the region tonight, with additional spotty showers possible into Saturday morning, though moisture is limited and rainfall amounts look very limited--additionally it really does not look likely that these showers will push into the Coachella Valley. Possibly the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa Mountains by Friday--but the valley is only looking at a 10% chance or less. So I think you can bet on drier conditions for the American Express Golf Tournament in La Quinta.
Cloud cover will linger at times, keeping conditions cooler than where we've been the last week and a half. As that low pressure systems exits east over Baja, SoCal starts to see drier weather returning on Sunday and skies gradually clear.
Another warming trend is on the way early next week as offshore flow strengthens, bringing sunnier and drier conditions. By mid to late next week, temperatures are expected to climb to several degrees above average, closer to that 80 degree mark once again.
