Another Chilly AM, Gradual Warming to 80s this Week

A COLD start earlier today around the Coachella Valley with several locations like Palm Springs, Thousand Palms, Indio, and Palm Desert dropping down to the upper 30s this morning!

We'll see another pretty chilly morning waking up Wednesday, but by mid week we'll start to notice a bit more of a gradual warming trend through the end of the week and into the weekend.

High pressure will allow desert highs to climb well above average, reaching the lower 80s by Friday and continuing through the weekend. Most spots are looking at highs about 10 degrees above average. While inland valleys see temps almost 15 degrees above average.

While nights stay cool, plenty sunshine will drive noticeable daytime warming across the lower desert. Little change is expected for the valley Sunday and Monday, however cooler and cloudier conditions return to the coast and inland valleys next week.

Overall, expect crisp, cool mornings (keep that jacket handy) followed by pleasantly warm afternoons across the desert.
