Fantastic September Weather: Cooler & Drier this Week

We’re kicking off the week with some fantastic September weather across the valley as a trough of low pressure to our north helps keep temperatures in check, trending cooler, with drier air.

Highs will continue to fall over the next few days, with Wednesday and Thursday shaping up to be the coolest days of the week and temperatures staying pretty close to 100 degrees--that's a degree or two cooler than normal for this point of September!

You'll notice overnight lows are also becoming more comfortable, giving us some cooler mornings to start.

Despite cooler and drier days, I am watching some breezy west winds this week during our afternoon and evenings through Thursday. Though strongest winds could gust up to 35mph--primarily near the passes and desert slopes.

The trough begins to move out of the Northwest by Friday, allowing temperatures to gradually warm back up toward seasonal averages, if not 2-3 degrees above normal, heading into the weekend.
