Breezy & Warmer, Stronger Santa Ana’s West

Gusty Santa Ana winds continue across Southern California through Saturday, with the Coachella Valley staying mild, with temperatures slightly below our seasonal average.

The strongest winds are west of the valley near our mountain slopes and passes, with the most widespread winds expected Friday and occasionally breezy conditions here at home.

Unlike coastal communities heating up under this pattern, our desert temperatures remain comfortable through the weekend.

Winds ease through the weekend before turning onshore Sunday afternoon, starting another cooling trend.

A stronger low pressure system arrives next week, bringing gusty west winds and a chance of showers Tuesday through Thursday, with highs potentially dropping into the mid-70s by Wednesday and Thursday.
