Expecting Near-Record Highs Today

The Excessive Heat Warning continues today, with highs expected to top out near 112, tying the record from 1968.

The temps today will rival those of yesterday.

High pressure across the Desert Southwest keeps the heat upon us through Friday before we see any relief in sight.

It will also trap Ozone at the surface, deteriorating our air quality for a few days, so if you suffer from COPD or Asthma, be careful about spending time outdoors.

The ridge of high pressure breaks down into the weekend, providing some cooler weather into next week.
