Weather Insider: An update on Hilary

Spencer Blum

It has been just over six months since Tropical Storm Hilary impacted parts of Mexico and the United States. This means that a tropical storm technically did not make landfall in California.

It's important to stress that this is a very minuscule technicality and is a result of some complicated meteorology. The storm still led to three people losing their lives and to over 900 million dollars of damages across Mexico and the United States.
