Staying warm into the weekend
One degree cooler than yesterday but Palm Springs is still bringing the heat with afternoon highs 9° above average.
The "why" is a ridge of high pressure over the west coast that is bringing warmth to most of the Golden State. This ridge will stick with us into the weekend.
A slight cooling on Sunday as a trough of low pressure moves by to our north. The main impact this will have on our weather in the desert is a strengthening of onshore flow resulting in breezy conditions around the valley.
Early next week with sticking with the March-like temperatures, paired with plenty of sunshine!
