Record heat for the second day in a row

Both Palm Springs (110°) and Thermal (109°) have BROKEN the record high temperatures for today's date.

The Excessive Heat Warning that's been in effect since Tuesday remains in effect through 9:00 p.m. Friday for temperatures 15-20° above normal. The warned area includes all of the Coachella Valley and San Gorgonio Pass.

Cooling will take place through the weekend but it's not until next week that we'll feel a notable drop in temperatures with highs in the 90s then 80s!
