Feels like spring in the desert

High temperatures in the 80s for the Coachella Valley this afternoon, below the average of 93°. A trough of low pressure is responsible for the cooler temperatures and breezy west wind we're currently experiencing.

Sunset is at 7:39 p.m. and the desert will continue to feel gusts over 30 MPH for the most wind-prone locations into the night.

A slow warming will take place the rest of the week, nearing the century mark by Saturday.

The rise in temperatures will be short-lived with 80s looking to return to the forecast next week.
