Warmer for the weekend

97° recorded this afternoon in Palm Springs paired with plenty of sunshine and a northwest breeze.

Southern California will feel warming was we move into the weekend with Saturday and Sunday being the hottest days of the week with highs in the upper 90s.

Temperatures will be quick to cool early next week which also means more wind for the desert, beginning Sunday evening. We'll be rewarded with highs in the 80s on Tuesday.

Additionally, Friday began the 2020 hurricane season for the Eastern Pacific ocean. There's no activity currently to depict tropical development in the next few days.
