Subtle warming into the weekend, followed by a notable cooldown next week

It's Friday, and that means high school football! The hosts of the Best Local Sports Show, Blake Arthur and Bailey Arredondo, will be live from the field prior to kick-off, which is looking to deliver temperatures in the mid-90s around 7:00 p.m.

A ridge of high pressure remains in place over the Western United States to close out the work week and transition into the weekend. While some clouds are expected to develop into the afternoon, a dry forecast remains overall.

Enjoy the final weekend of the summer season! Temperatures peak on Saturday, just barely above the daily average, before cooling into and through next week.
