Above normal fall temperatures expected

High pressure is building over the region, giving temperatures a boost. Daytime highs are expected to be 10°+ seasonable averages for this time of year. Here's a look at what's expected for Monday.

Long term forecasts indicate a long wave trough arriving next weekend, bringing stronger winds and much cooler temperatures. More fall-like conditions are anticipated looking 8-14 days out, according to data from the Climate Prediction Center.

In the meantime, triple digits rule the forecast. Quiet, warm, and dry conditions can be expected over the next several days. Overnight low temperatures will stay in the 70s for the work week.
