A warmer-than-normal October week

A building ridge of high pressure is going to bring the heat to Southern California this week! The Coachella Valley experienced a warming trend through the weekend, but it's here to stay through Thursday.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for Riverside County valleys and the Inland Empire from Wednesday through Thursday. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper 90s there.

In the Coachella Valley, highs will remain in the triple digits throughout the workweek, remaining 10°+ above normal. There is some relief from the heat in sight moving into next week, but it looks to bring some gusty winds into the mountains and deserts for the weekend.
