Temperatures gradually warm through the weekend

January's full moon, also known as the 'Wolf Moon', peaked earlier this morning at 9:54 AM. Tonight will be a great chance to see the full moon as we are tracking clear conditions. Don't forget to send your pictures to share@kesq.com!

We are tracking some slightly breezier conditions for Thursday evening. Light breezes are possible valley-wide with the strongest breezes being felt in the usual wind-prone locations such as along the freeway.

Looking ahead toward the start of February, we are tracking a wetter and more active weather pattern. While it remains too early to nail down any specifics just yet, we can look forward to generally wet and unsettled weather to start the second month of 2024.

We will notice a warming trend beginning tomorrow (Friday). Temperatures will gradually rise into the mid-70s this weekend and into the upper-70s by the start of next week. Thursday, the first day of February, looks to bring some wet weather to the desert.
