First Alert Weather Alert: Gusty and dusty conditions continue

Good morning! The First Alert Weather Alert continues this morning as we track persistent breezy to gusty winds and poor air quality. While the winds have subsided slightly since last night, especially outside of the I-10 corridor, they are still elevated. This has prevented the air quality from having a chance to significantly improve. We should expect poor air quality over the coming days. As a reminder, an Air Quality Alert remains in effect through 1:59 PM Friday.

There are a couple of low pressure systems impacting the western US. A weak low moved through the area yesterday, giving us those breezy to gusty winds. Today and tomorrow, however, the onshore flow will be dominated by the large area of low pressure moving into the Pacific Northwest.

We will remain under that First Alert Weather Alert all day today and most of Friday. There's a potential for the alert to be extended as your First Alert Weather Team closely monitors the situation. Highs will be in the mid-low 80s for much of this upcoming week with some occasional clouds here and there, but overall mostly sunny skies.
