Tracking rain, snow, and below average temperatures

Good morning. We are tracking the potential for some scattered showers today across the desert. However, not much accumulation is expected. Yesterday saw a significant amount of rain in the valley. Palm Springs International Airport saw over an inch of rain, with much of the rest of the valley seeing between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain. Now that there is a significant amount of cooler air over the region, we are now seeing some snow up at the top of the tram!

There will be another system moving through the region on Monday. This will bring another round of potential rain and some snow up on the mountains. Rainfall accumulation will be small.

This next week will be a well-deserved, very cool week here in the Coachella Valley. Highs will range from the upper 60s to the low 70s, well below average! There will be some lingering clouds at times, but expect some sun in there as well.
