Tracking another breezy evening

It is a breezy day here in the Coachella Valley. Throughout the evening and overnight timeframe, winds will remain elevated. These winds are breezy everywhere, but the strongest winds are in the elevated areas and near the interstate. The Wind Advisory for most of the valley has expired. However, the Wind Advisory for Desert Hot Springs and the San Gorgonio Pass has been extended through 1 PM Sunday.

As the winds have shifted, the pattern is now considered offshore. The system moving off to the east is also bringing a lot of colder air over the region. Temperatures will be coolest on Friday morning. We should expect moderate Santa Ana winds for some areas across the region for the coming days. The winds for the valley floor will be milder, but still have the potential to be a tad elevated. High pressure moves in over Southern California this weekend. This will help raise temperatures gradually next week.

As mentioned before, expect colder than average weather for Friday and then gradually warming weather through next week. Skies will remain clear.
