Tracking lingering Santa Ana winds and gradual warming

It's another gorgeous day here in the Coachella Valley. Temperatures remain very mild as cooler air lingers overhead. We are still tracking Santa Ana winds across the region. Desert Hot Springs and the San Gorgonio Pass remain under a High Wind Warning through 1 PM Sunday. Wind Advisories remain in place for other areas to the west of the Coachella Valley. Take extra caution if you're driving a high profile vehicle through these areas.

High pressure will continue to build over the region through the weekend. This will bring a gradual warning trend to the region through the middle of next week. Santa Ana winds will gradually weaken, but still remain into next week. Temperatures will peak on Wednesday and Thursday, reaching the lower 80s. This is well above average for this time of year, a big difference compared to the end of the last few days.

Temperatures will gradually warm through the middle of the workweek. Skies will remain clear, and conditions locally will remain dry and occasionally breezy.
