Coachella Valley Seeing Some of the Warmest Temps in the Nation this Week

A mild and mostly clear evening across the Coachella Valley after an absolutely beautiful and warm day! Any lingering gusty Santa Ana winds will continue easing through the evening (but still remain largely outside the Coachella Valley in the mountains, coastal slopes, and passes).
Our high and low temperatures are trending roughly 5-15 degrees warmer than normal for January. Overnight, our temperatures stay comfortably above average. This sets the stage for another warm day to wrap up the work week. Typical morning lows this time of the year are in the upper 40s. So low to mid 50s is a nice change-up.Â

Looking ahead, the big story remains unseasonably warm weather, with highs in the 80s continuing through at least Saturday. But could potentially linger through Tuesday.
Winds will briefly pick back up Saturday afternoon into early Sunday, gusts staying below advisory levels locally...and mostly outside the valley.

A gradual cooling trend begins early next week, but it looks like temperatures remain above normal through midweek. Dry conditions persist throughout the period, keeping the valley sunny and springlike for much of the week ahead.
