Gene Autry Back Open After 7 Car Pile-up

A 7 car pile-up shut down Gene Autry Trail just south of Interstate 10 Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crashhappened around 8 a.m. andclosed allsouthbound lanes. There’s no word on any injuries. Authorities reopened the lanes about an hour later. Investigators are now trying to piece together how the crashes happened.

Palm Desert High School Lock Down Lifted

Palm Desert High School students and staff are moving around again after the school was locked down earlier Wednesday. Riverside County sheriff’s department spokesman Angel Ramos told News Channel 3 no students or staff were in any immediate danger and the situation was an isolated case.
