600 customers without power in Cathedral City

Southern California Edison was working to make repairs following an electricity outage in Cathedral City Wednesday. Service was interrupted shortly before 3:44 p.m. Edison crews were working on analyzing the cause of the outage. At one point at 4:10 p.m., 675 customers were without lights and air conditioners as outside temperatures soared past 114 degrees.
