Four men charged for alleged burglary at Palm Springs Walgreens
Four men accused of breaking into a Palm Springs Walgreens after hours and stealing prescription medication were charged Friday with burglary, grand theft and transporting drugs across county lines.
Lequan Miller, 27, of Perris, Marcus Fantroy, 29, of Whittier, Johnny Newman, 29, of Los Angeles, and Jamel Sanders, 32, of Olivehurst, were arrested in West Covina on Wednesday, about two hours after they allegedly broke into the Walgreens at the 1700 block of East Vista Chino at 1:05 a.m. and swiped “multiple bottles of prescription medication,” according to Palm Springs police Sgt. William Hutchinson.
A West Covina police officer stopped a gold Cadillac CTS near Puente and North Garvey avenues and found prescription bottles with labels from the Palm Springs pharmacy inside the car and took all four men into custody, he said.
