Cal Fire, Riverside County firefighters help rescue hikers

Cal Fire, Riverside County firefighters have helped rescue two hikers on the Skyline Trail in Palm Springs.

A spokesperson with Cal Fire, Riverside County confirmed there was an active rescue this afternoon. Firefighters received a call about a downed hiker just after 12:30 p.m. Firefighters made contact with two hikers were stranded on the trail and helped them off the trail.

The spokesperson for Cal Fire, Riverside County said the hikers weren’t hurt, and they refused any medical attention.
