Ice installation now underway at Acrisure Arena
It's a construction milestone at Acrisure Arena. Crews officially started ice installation in the main hockey rink on Wednesday.
The ice is expected to be fully laid down this week. Today, the regulation rink lines along with face-off circles will be painted.
Come Wednesday, the arena will place logos onto the surface. The next step after that is sealing the logos and paint with water. And of course, keeping it all frozen!
The arena will be home ice for the AHL affiliate Coachella Valley Firebirds.
The team has been practicing at the Berger Community Iceplex, which is attached to the main arena.
