A First Alert Weather Alert has been issued in response to anticipated gusty conditions as a trough of low pressure moves into the West Coast.
A Wind Advisory has been issued by National Weather Service for the valley through early Wednesday morning. Peak gusts could be up to 60 MPH for wind-prone spots. Here's a look at some of the strongest gusts recorded around the desert on Thursday:
Wind speeds will continue to strengthen through the evening, with gusts of 30+ MPH on the valley floor.
The Wind Advisory expires early Wednesday morning, but weaker, breezy conditions will remain for the day.
Temperatures in the low 80s are in place for Wednesday, but a quick warmup to the 90s is expected by Friday.
