Excessive heat warning this weekend
High pressure continues to build in for the weekend, raising daytime highs to near 110.
In anticipation of those hot temperatures an Excessive Heat Warning will be in place from 10 a.m. Saturday through 8 p.m. Sunday. Stay hydrated and try to avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the heat of the day.
We expect numbers to rise today, hitting 107 late this afternoon, some 3 degrees above yesterdays temps.
The heatwave is brief, as we cool back to the lower 100s for most of next week.
